Join Warrior Poet Society and General Jerry Boykin on a 12-Day Adventure to Jordan & Israel

Join Warrior Poet Society, John Lovell, General Boykin, & Colonel Arsdale on an adventure of a lifetime to Jordan & Israel. We will be staying on the shores of the Dead Sea while in Jordan and explore the magnificent red rock city of Petra. We will cross the Jordan River into Israel and visit Jericho. We will spend a few days in Northern Israel visiting Megiddo (Armageddon), the Golan Heights, Tel Dan, and many other strategic historical locations. We will visit the West Bank town of Bethlehem, Masada – Herod’s mountain hideaway, and the Dead Sea before entering the Holy City of Jerusalem. And to top it all off, John and the General will walk us through some of Israels military installations in concert with the Mossad warriors. This will be an amazing journey with incredible history around every corner and a few special surprises!

Atlanta and New York
DAY 1: DEPART – Group meets at either Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport or New York’s JFK airport for flight to Amman, Jordan..
DAY 2: AMMAN, JORDAN – Upon our arrival to the Amman Airport, we are met, assisted with luggage and taken by private, deluxe motor coach to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: PETRA – Breakfast at the hotel. A full day of sightseeing as we travel down the King’s Highway to the incredible city of Petra, carved into the pink limestone cliffs. We see the Treasury; 3000 seat Theatre; a Palace Tomb in Roman style; a Monastery; and much, more. Return to Dead Sea resort for dinner and overnight.
Amman Israel
DAY 4: AMMAN/ISRAEL – Breakfast at the hotel. Our excursion takes us to Mt. Nebo, the memorial to Moses and presumed to be the site of the prophet’s death and burial place. We cross the Jordan/Israel border into the country of Israel. Our first stop is the ruins and excavations of ancient Jericho and Elisha’s Fountain. We see the Mountain of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by the Satan. Continuing on to Beit She’an, the leading city in the Decapolis and the place where the Philistines hung the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls. Continuing driving along the Jordan River into Galilee to our hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: TIBERIAS/CAESAREA/MOUNT CARMEL/MEGGIDO – A drive South along the Mediterranean coast will take us to Caesarea Maritime built by Herod the Great. Visit the Roman Theater and its ruins. Continue to Mt. Carmel for a visit to Elijah’s cave. Continue to Megiddo “Armageddon”, a very important strategic point on the Via Maris connecting Egypt and Damascus. Proceed to Nazareth to visit Nazareth Village and see Mount Precipice. Continue to Cana for a visit to where the first miracle took place. We will also visit the ruins of Magdala, the birthplace of Mary Magdalene. Proceed to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: GALILEE/TEL DAN/CAESAREA PHILIPPI – This morning board a boat on the calm surface of the Sea of Galilee, cruising toward Capernaum. Upon landing, visit the site where Jesus started his ministry, the house of Peter and the synagogue where Jesus was teaching. Continue to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of loaves and fish. See the 4th century mosaics. Drive to the top of the Mount of Beatitudes overlooking the sea and surrounding area. In the afternoon drive to the Golan Heights in Upper Galilee. Visit the sources of the Jordan River at Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi at Banias. Return to the exit of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee where a baptismal service will take place. Return to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: SAMARIA/JACOB’S WELL/JERUSALEM – Leave Tiberias and travel south along the Jordan River. Visit Beit She’an, the leading city in the Decapolis and place where the Philistines hung the bodies of King Saul and his sons on the city walls. Take a beautiful drive through the heart of Samaria to the city of Nablus. Here you will see Jacob’s Well, where Jesus asked a Samaritan woman for a drink. You will then enjoy a traditional Palestinian lunch. Continue to ancient Shiloh, the first capital of the Israelite Kingdom and site of the tabernacle. Before entering the Holy City, you will stop at Mount Scopus for a beautiful view of Jerusalem. Proceed to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM – Today we start on Mount Scopus which is one of the most beautiful lookout points in Jerusalem. It is the highest spot in the city at a height of 850 meters above sea level. Here you will have a spectacular view of the Kedron Valley, Garden of Gethsemane, Mount of Olives, and the Eastern Gate where Jesus makes his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. From here we drive south to the town of Bethlehem with a visit to the Church of Nativity. We will also go to The Shepherd’s Fields and the Fields of Boaz and Ruth. We will then proceed Herodian, Herod’s mountain hideaway. Time allowing, from here we will drive to the Valley of Elah where David defeated Goliath. Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
The Holy City
DAY 9: THE HOLY CITY – Today we will enter the Old City of Jerusalem and into the city walls enclosing the most holy sites in the world. Walk into history as you enter the Old City of Jerusalem. Stroll the picturesque colorful bazaars, neighborhoods and narrow streets as you make your way to the superb temple area, where Solomon’s Temple was built on Mount Moriah. Visit the Dome of the Rock enclosing the Rock of Sacrifice; the Mosque of Al Aksa, further south, the Pinnacle of the Temple and the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall. We will then go under the old city to visit the Western Wall Tunnels to see remnants from the days of the Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70AD. In the afternoon, start at Saint Stephen’s Gate and back into the Old City to visit the Church of Saint Anne, the Pool of Bethesda, the Lithostrotos, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, Antonia Fortress, as well as a walk on the Via Dolorosa leading us to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb the site where many believe Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. We will end at Mount Zion where we will visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper as well as the Tomb of King David and the House of Caiaphas. Dinner and overnight Jerusalem.
Dead Sea
DAY 10: QUMRAN/MASADA/EN GEDI/DEAD SEA – This morning we drive into the wilderness of the Judean Desert. Visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a shepherd boy. Then to Masada, a desert fortress built by Herod the Great the stronghold of Jewish zealots who committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans. Visit En Gedi where David took refuge from Saul. Visit Elisha’s Fountain before continuing on a beautiful drive that takes you along the shores of the Dead Sea. A float in the healing, mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea is part of our excursion. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11: NEW JERUSALEM – We will begin at Mount Zion where we will visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper as well as the Tomb of King David and the House of Caiaphas. Then we will proceed to the Shrine of the Book, the home of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Also, you will visit the model of Jerusalem as it was laid out during the time of Christ. We will spend the afternoon at Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum). Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
Tel Aviv
DAY 12: TEL AVIV/USA – Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for return flight home.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The $500 per person deposit is nonrefundable. Deposits and other payments exceeding the $500 per person are refundable in full up to sixty days prior to departure. After this date, refunds for unused accommodations and services will be limited to the amount received from and/or credited by all carriers, sightseeing operators and hotels. Trips and Tours can not be traded or swapped for Warrior Poet Society training classes or store credit.
